Our California trout facilities extends to a large number of pools for farming and a hundred smaller pools for hatcheries, located at the source of the Ruda River.
Kro Fish teamWe are an agile company based in Ruda. We operate in the Republic of Croatia, neighboring countries, and in the EU. Our focus is distribution of California trout for smaller and larger customers.
Farming is done according to the highest world standards. Purity, flow, temperature (min 7 C in winter time/max 14 C at summer time) of water and richness of oxygen are important for breeding quality trout. The flow of water (approx. 6000 L/s throughout the year) at the source of the Ruda River, where we are located, is extremely high and thus favors the growth and development of the highest quality California trout in the region. Namely, the large flow of water forces the trout to swim constantly and intensely, which increases muscle tone and gives perfect meat strength and quality of the fish.
Due to a large amount of oxygen and the purity of the water, our fish develop in perfect conditions. And the ideal water temperature throughout the year further favors its growth and development. Our trout are fed only with carefully selected premium food following the advice of the best veterinarians specializing in California trout.
It is worth emphasizing that we produce our own young from the best American roe, where they develop and grow in our incubators, constantly monitored by professionals. We spawn throughout the year and in addition to using it for our own use, we also distribute it to other farmers throughout the year. It is important to note that we sell youngs of 2g and up all year round. It can be important for small breeders that we sell live fish of 100 and 200 g.
